EXCITING NEWS for 2012!

We’re very pleased to announce that the ”Yamaha 6 String Theory Guitar Competition” will be continuing in 2012! For the third year in a row, we will be launching the competition at www.sixstringtheory.com . It will begin on January 21, 2012 @ 11:59pm PT.

We received  incredible turn-out the last two years so we are thrilled to announce the contest expansion in 2012 with the addition of 3 new instruments: Piano, Bass and Drums!  Academy Award & Grammy winning Dave Grusin, is on board as the Head of the Advisory Board for the inauguaral Lee Ritenour/Dave Grusin Rhythm Section Competition. We’re looking forward to seeing some amazing, diverse playing from this year’s contestants! More details on how to enter, deadlines, and prizes will be posted soon!

Also, the album from the first year contest, “6 String Theory,” has garnered some great recognition with various awards and honors (see below). A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to the project and helped in its success!
